Glides across the water
The catamaran hull and 350cm waterline give the Tactician a hull speed kayaks can't touch. Add an outboard and you're covering serious ground.
Packs smaller than a kayak
80 × 60 × 25 cm and 28 kg. It goes in your car boot, your motorhome locker, the back of a ute. A kayak needs a roof rack - the Tactician just needs a back seat.

Covers ground fast across large lakes. Plane with a 5-6hp (short shaft). Still light enough to carry, powerful enough to get there quickly.
Every Tactician ships with a 2-piece aluminium oar set. Good for calm water and getting on the water the day your boat arrives.
Motor sizing tip: The Tactician is efficient - you don't need to go big. Even a 1hp pushes the Tactician! If you wish to plane - go for 4-6hp.

How long does setup take?+
Under 10 minutes for most customers. Lay flat, insert the floor, inflate - it's that easy. Pack it away in 5 minutes.
Does it really fit in a car boot?+
Yes. Packed size is 80 × 60 × 25 cm and weighs 28 kg. Fits in most SUV and wagon trunks, a ute tray, a motorhome storage bay, or a yacht's forward locker.
How stable is it? Can you really stand up?+
Yes - both of you. The catamaran hull concentrates buoyancy at the outer edges, creating genuine stand-up stability. Two adults can move around simultaneously without worrying about tipping. Compare that to traditional kayak fishing!
Can it handle sea conditions?+
Customers regularly use the Tactician in estuaries, coastal bays, and open water. For rough open-sea conditions, exercise good judgement. Anything a fishing kayak can do, the True Kit Tactician can do better. The boat maintains buoyancy even in a full swamping situation.
Is the fabric durable? Will it puncture?+
Valmex® by Mehler Germany is the same material used in commercial and military inflatables. It's not fragile! A repair kit is included. We do recommend to net your fish when landing them and placing them straight into a fish bin.
What warranty do I get?+
5-year limited warranty on all new boats.

Do your QuickLok Wheels fit the Tactician?+
Due to the narrow and efficient hull design of the Tactician, the transom is too narrow to fit our QuickLok wheels. A kayak trolley can be used, or contact True Kit for further solutions.
