Love my true kit! Easy to set up and put away. Lightweight and love all the fishing attachments I can add on. It really has been the best choice for someone like me who doesn’t want to tow a trailer and boat.
Fast delivery, easy to unbox and setup, good pump easy to inflate, ordered with transom wheel adapter installed, works great, all seems very high quality, only thing that would make it better would be availability of chaps from True Kit but that is the case with most inflatables. Very satisfied and hope for long life.
Great quality. Well built. Disappointing performance. Powered with a Torpedo Travel XP 5 hp equivalent it won't go more than 3 mph without caveating.
I am a big guy. 6 ft 235 lbs and 72 yrs old and I can stand on a tube with out worrying. It inflates really easily and once in the water it handles great. My 3 hp electric outboard moves my wife and I along very well. And my grand kids love it!
Well made product that seems good for the use of beaching a heavier than normal dinghy like ours with a 30 hp motor. There was difficulty in mounting because the machined parts (tabs that the base mounts on) require and very flat, almost machined finish. We found the transom of our highfield dinghy was nowhere near flat. We were able to mount the wheels but the quick release does not work well due to our non-flat transom. We can remove and re-install with the quick release however it requires a hammer and is difficult. One cannot remove and install by hand with ease as advertised.
Thank you Stephen for your review. You are correct that we have designed our removable wheel system around having a flat transom. All our True Kit boats are machined to the highest standards with flat transoms but we realise that many other brands don't take the same care. Our wheels work perfectly, as advertised on an accurately built boat. We are confident that you will enjoy years of use from the wheels.
I bought the Navigator 250 for use as a dinghy for my Nordic Tug 39 which I single hand most of the time. At 53 lbs it is easily handled by one person, is built from the finest materials and rows extremely well. Very impressed with the boat and company. Highly recommend
The only complaint i have is the template holes were drilled too small.
The threads on bolts dragged through and messed up 2 bolts.
Should be a clearance hole and tight fit
I'm out catching fish in my true kit along side the $30000.00 bass boats. Lots of fun!
The good: lighter, much more stable to get into than my hard chine fiberglass dinghy, carries more weight than my hard dinghy.
The not so good: low bow makes it a wet ride in chop, loose screw in oarlock keeps coming out (despite my repeatedly fixing it), delivered missing 4 black plugs on starboard transom.
This really helped with the cavitation issue I was having while having my jack plate high.
The Quicklok wheels work great, on and off in seconds!! They are made to last for a long time with quality parts!!
What an amazing boat! I used my discovery to explore Lake Powell for a week.I fished off of it and did some spearfishing as well. I love the design and how small it packs up. Quality is top-notch! Super fun boat!
Everything was received promptly. It is easy to assemble and use. Excellent customer service when there is an issue.
Great landing wheels, install went smooth
Yes, I’m very happy with my 330 Discovery- it is very well made and I like the different attachments on it!! I had it out on a trout lake in Northern Minnesota last week and had a lot of fun with the 330!! I need you to send me one of your rod holder’s!! If you have to call me my cell number is ( [****] ) Thanks, Ralph Furtman!!!
Great layout with notably more room than a traditional bow RIB/SIB. PVC is highest quality I’ve seen outside of Hypalon or TPU. Transom is more than heavy duty enough for the 20hp Tohatsu pull-start motor I installed. Surprisingly dry (even in 2-3ft chop).
Also love the included accessories (seats, oars & oar locks, pump, etc). The optional accessories are equally quality. Overall a great package.
Only downside, is I noticed it is very sensitive to trim and weight distribution. Can go from a great ride to complete hog w/ventilation by moving 80lbs one meter fore/aft
Excellent quality and workmanship.
GREAT way to have a bit of cover out on the water. Easy to put together, pop in, tension up, and go. Very solid, easily withstands folks grabbing on and holding as they enter/exit. Still solid at full throttle with a 15hp outboard.
Just took it out this morning and it handled great !
Just inflated it for the first time today. We were waiting on davits so we wouldn’t have to store in the water or tow it. Much easier to inflate than I anticipated, under twenty minutes from roll out to splash. Quality is good, design seems good, very pleased.
The best. Awesome product. Even better customer service
This is my third inflatable boat and I have used my True Kit around a dozen time since new.
Pros:
Best packing inflatable ever. Just grab and go.
Rows extremely well even in the wind.
Best air floor of any inflatable. It also makes for a fun float board.
Cons:
The material is not for heavy regular use. By my sixth trip I had a slow tube leak. After using soapy water I found a slight scrape that was letting air out. I am very careful with the boat and never drag or abuse it. I have had two very minor scrapes of less than half an inch that leaked air. This is why it's a light, easy to pack boat. But I feel the material is to thin for the cost and for heavy fishing use.
I can recomend it for others just be aware it's a bit fragile.
