"The wheels are a big step up from what I have used. I am never selling these. They are much better in sand and make getting up the beach a simpler process." - Ted Ebbing

More about the QuickLok Launching Wheels

With our new QuickLok Dinghy wheels you have even more freedom than ever.  Freedom to easily move your boat along the beach or down the boat ramp.  Freedom to quickly remove them and pack your boat away.  They are designed to be low profile so they sit in behind your transom and don't interfere with your outboard.

Our QuickLok wheels are manufactured in New Zealand from marine grade stainless steel (316).  What this means for you is they don't corrode.  They have a unique release system that takes literally a second to remove them.  There are no aluminium parts to cause bi-metal corrosion which is a common problem, especially around salt water.

The large 265mm diameter wheels will power over most terrain with ease.  A simple self-locking mechanism keeps them in place whether they are in the up or the down position.  In the unfortunate situation that your dinghy flips upside down with the wheels attached in the on water position, the auto-lock system will prevent them from detaching from the boat.

QuickLok Dinghy Launching Wheels - Installed | True Kit

Please note wheels purchased through this accessory option are for SELF-INSTALLATION.  If you would like True Kit to do the wheel installation please choose from our PACKAGE options.

We strongly recommend using a quality sealant like Sikaflex Marine 291 when doing your QuickLok installation.  We also recommend using Nylon washers when installing onto aluminium transoms (like our Discovery models).

Each wheel has 4 strong stainless studs that get mounted onto the transom making the wheels clip on and off the transom with a single push of the locking plate.  While our wheels are perfect for a True Kit dinghy, they can be purchased and fitted to nearly any other brand of dinghy (choose self-fitting option).

Awesome, almost.

These work great; however, since the first use one of the wheels takes in water and releases it on my garage floor as it leaks and goes flat between each use. They are also quite difficult to inflate due to the short stem which wouldn’t be a huge problem if you didn’t have to reinflate it every single time before you take your boat out. The other wheel has had zero issues.

Hi JulieAnn, this is the first I have heard of this issue but it sounds like the wheel has a faulty valve. We will happily send you a replacement wheel and are sure you will get years of great use out of the Quickloks

Hi, the wheels seem good, the quality is good, but you could have put ball bearings in there in some way that you can change at regular intervals. Now we have ice on the lake, we've had that for a while, so I haven't tried the wheels in real life if there is any such. After all, I had the honor of paying taxes that surely go towards improving the world, however you now look at what is better. Anyway, best regards.

Thanks for your review Stefan. In our extensive testing we did test a large number of wheel and friction-reducing systems. We found that sand and ball bearings are not a good combination. The solution we ended up with was the most robust and effective solution. Many thanks
