We recently purchased a Truekit Discovery 330 and paired with a E-Propulsion EVO 3 HP outboard and have been extremely impressed. The catamaran hulls along with landing craft bow design of the Truekit Discovery 330 has made it incredibly easy for my wife, who is recovering from a broken ankle. The boat is syndicated so we need to carry a few personal items, such as paddle boards etc which we ferry via the tender. The Discovery 330 is a true workhorse in this regard and is so easy to load and unload.
The E Propulsion EVO outboard provides a smooth and reliable power to the Truekit Discovery 330. We travel relatively short distances so are happy with the speed which surprised us, not planing but still a lot faster than what we expected. A credit to the slippery design.
One of the features of this boat that we love is the is Truekit awning, which provides excellent protection from the Australian sun. The Truekit Discovery 330 also tows very well thanks to the bridle system. We bought an extra seat, but we ended up not using seats at all as the flat bottom of the boat allowed us to spread out some foldable solar panels when the Truekit Discovery 330 is not in use to charge the outboard battery.
The E Propulsion EVO outboard also gives us a little bit of hydrogeneration when under sail, which is a nice bonus. Overall, we are extremely happy with our purchase and would highly recommend the Truekit Discovery 330 paired with a E Propulsion EVO outboard to anyone looking for a stable, easy to use and efficient vessel. It’s a cliche but you do get what you pay for, from a well constructed vessel to excellent accessories in particular the wheels and bimini, this package rocks!
