CAPTAINS PACKAGE

Overall rating 4.5 stars. Why not 5 stars? i was asked to review the captain’s package, and my only quibble is that the captain’s package isn’t a particularly good value, and shoehorns the buyer into a particular package. As an international buyer, the only reason to select the package as opposed to choosing the same items a-La-carte is to save on shipping. This is surely a fake saving, borne of an inefficient e-commerce model, but it is what it is.
But what matters is this: all through the purchasing process the True Kit team were super pro-active in ensuring the order was in good order and entered in a manner that would best fulfill the customer’s needs.
Fergus wouldn’t ship the order until he was satisfied that I knew what I was doing (shipping the dinghy to Texas despite my final destination being in Mexico). For that level of care and concern I am tremendously grateful.
As for the dinghy? Fantastic. A 10 foot tender that this 67 year old guy can lift easily, grab handles everywhere they need to be, etc. planes easily with our 6hp Mercury, even with 2 on board (just). as a lifelong hypalon devotee, this pvc fabric is an unknown, but that’s a gamble I’m happy to take.

I have made my 3.0m Navigator into a fishing weapon for all sorts of fishing which I tried out on the Manukau with my brother. The Captains Package was a great base to start with the addition of the high speed electric pump.
I was very impressed with the ease of setup, manoeuvre ability and the stability of this boat. Thanks True Kit.

Service around order placement and delivery was fantastic. However with covid restrictions I have not yet been able to access Auckland to use and assess the tender. Very happy so far!
